Social Worker and Life Coach

Angela Di Paola, MSW, PSW, BA  is a professional social worker and certified life coach.  She has a private practice , based in Montreal, Quebec. Her focus is to coach her clients by using techniques that empower them. She aims to draw out their strengths so that they have the opportunity to achieve their goals. Angela also works as a social worker for the McGill University Health Center, where she has provided psycho-social support and crisis counseling to adults and their families. She has worked on various care units. These include: Psychiatry- inpatient and outpatient day center, Oncology, Geriatrics, Trauma, Orthopaedics and Emergency.  Angela works hard to assist her clients who are undergoing complex and oftentimes devastating obstacles. She continues to be amazed and humbled by their strength and resiliency.

 

 

Professional Orders and Certificates

Angela belongs to the Professional Order of Social Workers in Quebec, Canada.

She is certified as a life coach practitioner through the Certified Coaches Federation.

She also holds a certificate in Cybercounselling issued by the University of Toronto.


Education

From McGill University, Angela has earned a Master’s degree in Social Work. She also has two Bachelors degrees, one with a major in psychology and a minor is sociology. The other Bachelor’s degree is in social work. Continuing education credits include completion of level one cybercounselling from Factor-Inwentash, Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. Angela has also participated in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Training for Mental Health Professionals offered through McGill University Faculty of Medicine-Continuing Health Professional Education. Angela has also participated in a Motivational Interviewing day-long workshop. Angela continues to look for opportunities to develop new skills to improve her practice.
